Club Evexia Co-working Mural

Overview

Sea by Land Studio was commissioned to create a custom mural for Club Evexia, a wellness-forward gym and co-working sanctuary in Marin, CA. The mural needed to reflect the space’s mission: restoration, energy, and aligned creativity. Installed across three walls of the co-working space, the piece was designed to create an immersive scenic view of Marin’s natural beauty — turning static walls into portals that expand the sense of space and bring the outdoors in.

Creative Direction

The visual language drew from earth elements, subtle gradients, and atmospheric forms — creating a soft, immersive feeling that supported deep focus and a meditative vibe. Inspired by landscape memory, wave geometry, and breath patterns, the composition was designed to evolve across the wall without overwhelming it — offering presence without distraction.

Color Palette: Muted coastal tones — sage, ochre, pale clay, ink grey, and mist
Texture: Organic transitions with dotwork layers, brush pattern overlays, and layered transparencies

Execution

The mural was hand-painted over the course of 4 days of intensive dotwork, following a 3-week design development phase. The painting process used highly durable pigments and layered matte finishes to minimize light reflection. Each of the three walls flowed into the next, giving the impression of an endless, expansive environment — a space where the walls disappeared into nature.
